Crayola is an internationally recognized heritage brand widely known for their product line of crayons and children’s art and craft supplies.
The company was founded by Edwin Binney and C.Harold Smith in 1885 after they took over Edwin’s father’s pigment business. Crayola produced their first line of wax crayons in 1903.
Crayola is headquartered in Pennsylvania with manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania, USA and Mexico City, Mexico.
Crayola international sales and marketing facilities are located in Canada, Australia, Mexico and Italy.
In 1984 Crayola became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hallmark Cards.
