Sakura Color Products Corporation is a Japanese company headquartered in Chuo-ku, Osaka, that produces a wide variety of writing instruments, stationery items and specialize in the technological development of specialized ink.
Founded in 1921 as a crayons manufacturer by Rinzo Satake and Shoukou Sasaki, the company opened a North American division in Hayward, California in 1986 – Sakura Color Products of America. Inc – and a China division in Shanghai in 1993 – Shanghai Sakura Stationary Co. Ltd. – to offer international service and distribution.
