AVERY DENNISON
Avery Dennison is a publicly traded Fortune 500 American brand headquartered in Pasadena, California. They manufacture and distribute a variety of adhesive labels, office and paper products.
The company operates in more than 50 countries with an estimated workforce of 30,00 employees internationally.
Founded in 1935 by Ray Stanton Avery as Kum Kleen Products, the name was changed to Avery Adhesives in 1937. Several other name changes occurred until 1990, when the brand merged with the Dennison Manufacturing Company to become Avery Dennison.
The Carter’s ink Company, and the Marks-A-Lot brand of marker, was acquired by Avery Dennison in 1975.
In the same year, American graphic designer and filmmaker Saul Bass developed the Avery logo.
