KURETAKE ZIG

Kuretake is a manufacturer of high quality stationery products and writing instruments headquartered in Nara, Japan. A subsidiary operates out of West Midlands, United Kingdom, North American offices and distribution are based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The company was founded by Narakichi Watatani in 1902 as a sumi ink stick manufacturer under the trade name Kuretake Sumi, and later changed the name to Kuretake Co., Ltd. in 1940.

In 1985 Kuretake introduced the Zig Posterman range of markers.
